The HUB Geneva provides 3 key services for parents:

1. HUB@Home

Emotional Support for Parents, by Parents in English

1-1 support for parents from trained volunteers on a weekly basis.

For parents feeling alone, overwhelmed or isolated, struggling generally with family life, or simply in need of an independent listening ear.

Our volunteers are:

  • parents themselves or work with children
  • local
  • empathetic listeners, separate from your work or social network
  • non-judgmental and confidential
  • trained initially for 10 hours, followed by continued development sessions
  • carefully matched to parents by The HUB scheme manager
  • subject to Swiss Police checks

HUB@Home provides 2-4 hours of support on a weekly basis with the aim to create:

  • a safe space to share the difficult experiences that come along with family life
  • positive encouragement and practical help to improve emotional well-being
  • more understanding of and links to the broader local community and its services

2. HUB Blog

We share real stories from local parents through our Blog, starting conversations about the issues that matter most.

The topics are always varied and relatable, ranging from the heartfelt, to the inspiring, the thought-provoking to the hilarious.

We are not afraid to be honest, because it’s important to be able to say how we really feel – especially as family life can get tough sometimes.

3. HUB Highlights
